
Accommodation Tax Introduction Notice (Effective April 1, 2026)

Please be advised that starting from stays on April 1, 2026 (Wednesday), an accommodation tax will be introduced in Hokkaido and Sapporo City.
Please see the details below:
■ Tax Implementation Date (Scheduled)
The accommodation tax will apply to stays from April 1, 2026 onward.
*Please note that even if a reservation is made before Wednesday, April 1, 2026, the accommodation tax will apply to any stay occurring on or after April 1, 2026.
■ Accommodation Tax Rate
The tax will be charged per person, per night, based on the room rate.
The room rate used to calculate the tax excludes meal charges (such as breakfast) and consumption tax.

■ Others
- Accommodation tax is charged separately from the room rate and must be paid at check-in or check-out.
